Dior opens flagship store in Vietnam

The French luxury fashion house Dior opened its first store in Vietnam on Thursday, 28th March. The new flagship store is located in the iconic Trang Tien Plaza shopping center. The opening follows that of the company’s flagship store in Sydney at the beginning of February, which marked Dior’s entry into Australia.
“The world has changed over the last three or four years and the centre of gravity of the global economy is moving towards Asia. We are developing our business in this part of the world,” commented Dior chief executive Sidney Toledano.
With its floor-to-ceiling glass façade, the new Dior Women boutique is hard to miss. The interior was designed by Peter Marino and modeled after Dior’s first address in Paris. 18th century details like a custom wrought-iron balustrade alternate with modern elements. White French windows and inviting light grey sofas remind visitors to the Hanoi boutique more of an elegant Parisian apartment than an apparel store.
Entering the store, customers are welcomed by Dior’s range of handbags and leather goods. Also on the ground floor are timepieces and accessories. In the salon on the upper level with Swarovski chandelier and a mirror designed by Laurent Chavat over the traditional Dior fireplace awaits the ready-to-wear collection. For the first time in Vietnam, the Dior Homme universe can be accessed next door.
