K&C Group is a privately owned group based in Vientiane, launched in Laos over twenty five years ago. With over twenty seven companies under the K&C Group, they provide a diverse range of services to the Laos market, many under a Master Franchise model.
This exciting new international collaboration will see K&C Group act as the official Pingu’s English Master Franchisee for the whole of Laos and offer Pingu’s English international curricula to parents across Laos. They will open their first branded Pingu’s English School in Vientiane this September.
Pingu’s English Schools have already trained over a quarter of million children in over 200 schools worldwide, through their global network of Master Franchisees. The Master Licensee in Laos will join a growing network of Pingu’s English ASEAN partners in Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia already delivering effective English language training and kindergarten programs to young children – as well as in many other countries worldwide including China, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Lithuania.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms Ketsavanh Panyathip, Director of Pingu’s English School Laos said:
“I would like to firstly express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Rt. Hon Ed Vaizey M.P, the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as His Excellency, Mr. Phongsavanh Sisoulath, Lao Ambassador to the UK today for their support, both in being here today, as well as in the months ahead as we launch this exciting venture.
“On behalf of my partners and I, we are truly honoured to be appointed the exclusive Pingu’s English Master Franchisee for Laos, and are genuinely excited to be launching our first Pingu’s English School this autumn.
“We would like to thank the team at the Linguaphone Group for their partnership and ongoing support in our new endeavour together. We are here in London for our initial training which has been great, and look forward to welcoming the Linguaphone Group back to Vientiane in a few months’ time, for a full week of training for our teachers and management. Plans are well underway with preparing the first Pingu’s English school for launch and we are excited for what the future holds for this business. May this be the beginning to a long and prosperous partnership!”
Mr Derek Price, Chief Executive Officer with the Linguaphone Group, congratulated the team, saying :
“It is an absolute honour to have such esteemed guests join us today to witness the official signing of Pingu’s English Laos. With their extensive education and commercial experience in the Laotian market, combined with our first-quality curricula, business development and marketing support, we have no doubt that our collaboration here will be a winning combination.
“This is a partnership that would not have been possible without the fantastic support provided by the British Embassy in Laos, especially Mr Hugh Evans, HM British Ambassador to Laos, who introduced K&C Group to us. We are truly grateful for their ongoing assistance with this project, as well as the Group’s growing ambitions for our brands across Laos”
