World’s Largest Italian Ice Concept Seeks Franchisees to Join its Team in Kansas and Missouri
Rita’s Italian Ice, the world’s largest Italian Ice concept with more than 600 stores, is continuing its expansion in the Midwest and seeking franchisees to join its team for the Kansas and Missouri territory. Rita’s, which began more than 30 years ago in Philadelphia, has been aggressively expanding across the United States with locations from coast to coast, including two stores and a mobile unit currently open in Wichita, Kansas.
Aloha Rita’s Kansas, which owns the rights for Rita’s development of Kansas and Missouri, is led by Jeff Miller, Jay Miller and Pat Reilly. The trio opened their first Rita’s store in Wichita in March 2014 and recently opened a second store in Old Town Village. A third store location is expected to open later this year in Hutchison and will feature a Sandella’s Flatbread Café, making it the third-ever Sandella’s co-branded store across the entire Rita’s system. The expanded store will provide a Sandella’s casual dining area alongside Rita’s Italian Ice to offer guests a complete dining experience.
“We signed on to the Rita’s team just as its expansion really started to take off, and it’s been growing by leaps and bounds ever since,” said Jeff Miller, co-owner of Aloha Rita’s Kansas. “We’re hoping to replicate that same growth in our own territory as we continue to introduce Rita’s unique Italian Ice concept with locals in our area.”
“There is still a great amount of opportunity available across our territory and we’re looking forward to onboarding new team members and having them become part of our own local success story,” Miller added.
With more than 30 years in business, Rita’s Italian Ice has been aggressively expanding across the United States and internationally, with locations now open in the Philippines and Canada, and coming soon in the Middle East and the Caribbean. Aloha Rita’s Kansas is actively seeking franchisees to join its expansion team with opportunities available across the entire territory to help reach its goal of eight units within 36 months.
