The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc. Signs Five-Unit Franchise Deal for Indonesia

The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc., announces plans to bring its unique fondue dining experience to Indonesia through a five-unit franchise development agreement with P.T. Jaya Internusa Abadi.

P.T. Jaya Internusa Abadi operates more than 20 restaurants in Jakarta and Bali and is actively pursuing sites for Melting Pot locations planned in those cities. The first Melting Pot location in Indonesia is slated to open in 2013 in Jakarta.
Along with development in Indonesia, The Melting Pot recently signed the largest franchise deal in the company’s history to bring 12 units to eight countries in the Middle East through a multi-unit agreement with Hospitality Concepts and Solutions. The first Melting Pot location in the Middle East is slated to open in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thalia Street in early 2013 through a five-unit franchise deal for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Dr. Mazen Almugbel of Albabteen United Foods Company, LLC and Mira Foods.

In addition to franchise development in Asia and the Middle East, The Melting Pot is continuing international expansion in Canada and Mexico having opened its second location in Canada in Richmond Hill, Ontario and its third location in Mexico City this year.
With more than 30 international locations open, signed or committed for development in Canada, Mexico, the Middle East and Indonesia, the company is also looking to Australia, China, India, Brazil, Europe and other provinces in Canada for further expansion opportunities.
