Wingstop signs deal to put 20 restaurants in Singapore

Wingstop announced Wednesday that its first restaurants in Southeast Asia, a multistory development deal in Singapore.
The Richardson-based company said that the agreement with Abaavo Group Private Limited will bring 20 Wingstop locations to the island city-state that sits off the Malay Peninsula. Singapore has a population of more than 5 million people.
Dave Verson, chief development officer at Wingstop, called the agreement “a huge milestone for our international development.”
Internationally, Wingstop said it has 15 locations open in Mexico, and it has a master agreement for 120 stores to be opened there in the next decade. Wingstop also recently signed a 50-store deal for its first locations in Russia.
