World’s biggest brands eye Vietnam franchise opportunities


Vietnam’s franchising market continues to flaunt its potential as a new wave of the world’s biggest brands are aggressively seeking franchising partners.


Sean T Ngo, CEO of VF Franchise Consulting said that with over 95 million people and one of the fastest GDP growth rates in the world of Vietnam, franchisors have taken significant opportunities in consumer spending, especially in the food and beverage.

On April 27, a Franchise Discovery Day will take place in Hanoi. Investors will have the opportunity to meet executives from leading international food and beverage brands in confidential one-on-one meetings seeking partners for expansion with a minimum investment capital of between US$1-$5 million.

One of the featured brands at the event is Little Caesars, the largest carryout-only pizza chain in the world with locations in eight Canadian provinces, all 50 US states and 18 countries and territories worldwide.

Another brand Element Fresh, established in 2002, is the leading casual dining brand in Shanghai and across China with nearly 40 corporate restaurants and on track to add 30 domestic locations by 2020. It offers a refined casual dining experience with an array of gourmet fresh foods and beverages. Initially famous for its wholesome gourmet salads and fresh, made to order fruit juices and smoothies, the menu has evolved to become a diverse selection of continental offerings.

Hand Shake

Currently-favored in many countries, Presotea introduced the world’s first premium tea brewing process using an espresso machine that retains the flavors and sweetness of the tea. With more than 300 franchise stores open, Presotea has a presence in Taiwan, Indonesia, Canada, China and Australia. Presotea seeks for a minimum investment of US$1 million.

The Boiling Crab opened in 2004 is a full service casual dining restaurant modeled after

traditional Cajun-style seafood boils from Louisiana and Southern Texas, where eating crawfish, crab, lobster, shrimp, raw oysters, fried catfish, Cajun fries, gumbo and other side dishes is a social and family event. The brand has a minimum investment of US$3 million.

Arizona-based pizza brand Grimaldi’s Coal Fired Pizzeria has 100 years plus coal fired brick-oven pizza-making traditions. Grimaldi’s strive to ensure that future generations can experience their distinctive and truly authentic pizza. The brand has a minimum investment of US$5 million.
