Fuddruckers Franchisee Goes Fast Casual

The Fuddruckers franchise in Reading, Massachusetts has completed an extensive renovation, debuting an exciting new look for the 6,700-square-foot family-oriented fast casual. The prototype custom design creates a more upscale and welcoming ambience and may be rolled out soon at other Fuddruckers locations.

“We are thrilled with the result and are confident our customers will be too,” says Jim Boland, an award-winning restaurateur who owns the franchise, as well as additional Fuddruckers in Saugus, North Andover, and Methuen, Massachusetts. “In fact, we are already talking to our design firm about adapting its work for our other three locations.”

Carroll Design Studio of Bedford, Massachusetts, was tapped to reimagine the interior and improve functionality of the restaurant first opened in 2005. Eye-catching details include an upholstered lounge area with view-thru fireplace and big screen TVs, 24-foot live edge wood communal table with banquette seating, and a gorgeous stainless and steel Build Your Own Produce Bar. Multi-colored brick and reclaimed exotic wood accents are enlivened with pops of red and mint green and full-wall graphics.

Building Restoration Services, working with Fast Track Fabrication, both of Boston, sourced the reclaimed wood and coordinated custom woodworking and ornamental metals. Bluebird Solutions of Woburn was responsible for the signage, wallpaper, and graphics. C-MAC of Braintree served as general contractor.

In addition to the new décor, the renovation has allowed for 50 additional seats, enhanced register technology, and expanded menu offerings that now include the full spectrum of Fuddruckers’ favorites, plus draft beer in addition to wine.
