VF Franchise Consulting is a uniquely experienced franchise consultancy (brokerage) with extensive franchise sales, marketing, and operations experience throughout Southeast (South East) and Asia Pacific. Our senior management team has over four decades of international experience in the USA, Asia, and Australia. We specialize in franchise sales and marketing, franchise brokering and operations, strategic business planning, general business development, franchise operations, training, commercial real estate, and project management.

VF Franchise Consulting also offers assistance in establishing Distribution partnerships, Joint Venture (JV) partnerships and Direct Investments for international organizations that wish to enter Southeast (South East) and Asia Pacific.

With offices in Vietnam and Singapore, we are positioned to assist our clients enter the fastest-growing emerging region in the world, Southeast (South East) Asia or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Sean T. Ngo, MBA

CEO/Co-Founder

Sean T. Ngo is an American citizen for over 40 years. He has worked extensively in the USA and Asia, and has over 25 years of professional experience at Fortune 500 companies as well as having started his own businesses. Sean’s core competencies in franchising include franchise sales and marketing, franchise broker, franchise operations, strategic planning, negotiations, entrepreneurship, business development, finance, project management, and general management. Sean is also frequent speaker at many international franchising events and forums hosted by industry and government throughout Asia.

Prior to co-founding VF Franchise Consulting, Sean has worked for many Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft Corporation, Coldwell Banker, National Semiconductor Corporation, and Lockheed Martin. He has an MBA from the University of San Francisco (USF) and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University, San Jose (SJSU). He is a formerly registered Project Management Professional (PMP®) as certified by the Project Management Institute, USA. He also lectures at Asian, European and Australian MBA programmes in Vietnam in the subjects of Franchising, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, International Business, Leadership, and Project Management.

Sean has been living and working in Vietnam for the past eleven years and is currently based in Ho Chi Minh City. Having grown up as an Asian-American, Sean’s core values include integrity, honesty, respect, hard-work, perseverance, and family. These core values are integral to his professional and personal success. While English is Sean’s native language, his fluency in the Vietnamese language and knowledge of Asian cultures have helped him to develop strong and lasting relationships throughout Asia.

Ms. Hoang Kim Phuong, BA

Company Director

Ms. Hoàng Kim Phượng is from Vietnam and has over 15 years of professional industry experience. Her core competencies include business development, sales and marketing, negotiations, business communication, and office management. She is experienced and successful in working with Vietnamese and foreign senior level executives and decision makers throughout Vietnam.

Ms. Phượng has worked for many foreign companies, including Allianz Insurance, Piaggio Motor International Company, and Superstar Global Logistics Company. She is a proud graduate of Hanoi Foreign Trade University, considered by many to be the top university in Vietnam. She also holds professional licenses in real estate and stock brokerage.

Ms. Phượng has worked and lived in Hanoi for many years, and she is currently based in Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Phượng’s core values include integrity, honesty, respect, and perseverance. While Vietnamese is her native language, she is functionally fluent in English and Russian and is well traveled throughout Asia and the USA.

Robert grew up as an entrepreneur businessman opening his first business while still in High School and continued as such for the next 20 years. He has owned/managed businesses in the Food & Beverage, Education, Franchise, Coffee and Retail industries.

His significant international experience is an asset to our team as he has lived and worked in 12 countries and visited more than 67 different ones, including the entire ASEAN and all but 2 of the APEC countries. This experience has helped him to have a global perspective, be culturally sensitive, and an efficient problem solver.

His franchising experience is also substantial as he has been a franchisor, franchisee, master franchisee, and held multiple roles such as Country Manager, GM and Operations Director for well-known global brands such as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Sears Roebuck, Tim Horton’s, Barbecue Garden, Coca, Mango Tree, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, PJ’s Coffee, and Bonchon chicken. He has directly been responsible for bringing 6 brands into new Asian countries and has helped several businesses turn themselves into franchises to expand beyond themselves in a profitable manner.

Robert describes himself as the “Man who gets things done, on time, and within budget”. He brings the entrepreneur mentality to all his projects, always taking personal responsibility and ownership of everything he does. Khoo Teck Kim, MBA

Company Director

Teck Kim is an experienced CEO with expertise and a successful track record in the food-service, franchise and retail industries. In a career that spans over 30 years of industry experience, he has done business in the USA, Europe, Russia, Australia and many Asian countries.

Teck Kim have worked with global companies like Burger King, KFC, The Body Shop, Delifrance, Young and Rubicam, and managed these brands across the various regions. His specialized knowledge and skills in strategic planning, business development, franchising, marketing and operations were honed in a career that encompassed senior management experience with these business concepts and other regional brands.

He started work as an Audit Assistant with Turquand Young by auditing clients like Singapore Airlines, Crown Pacific Worldwide Movers and Berger Paints. Academically, Teck Kim has a Master in Business Administration from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.

Besides being an ex-Battalion Commander of the Singapore Armed Forces, he also had the rare and distinguished honour of being appointed Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the President of Singapore and served three former Presidents.
