Furla expands travel retail business in South East Asia

Following recent store openings in Vienna and China, Furla has announced its first venture in Cambodia. At the beginning of the month, Furla opened a new 10sq m personalised corner with Dufry at Phnom Penh Airport, Cambodia, in line with its new store concept, and to showcase its AW13 collection.
Commenting on the first store opening in Cambodia, Furla Global Travel Retail Director Gerry Munday said: “Cambodia is rapidly developing as a tourist market. It continues our expansion throughout South East Asia and I am confident that Dufry will do a great job for us in Phnom Penh.”

Furla has also recently refurbished its 18sq m boutique at Milan Linate Airport, which is operated with Dufrital, in line with the brand’s new store concept.
Munday added: “The refurbishment is in line with Furla’s policy to introduce the new concept store design wherever possible, enabling airport retail to reflect the same high quality brand essence that is the trademark of Furla in the leading fashion capitals of the world.”
Furla’s travel retail business is growing steadily; the Italian brand reported an increase of +93% from 2011 until last year.
Furla is currently present in 91 countries with five subsidiaries in France, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and the US.
