Genesis BBQ, the Korean fried chicken franchise, has announced the opening of its 11th store in Vietnam, signaling a strong commitment to its Southeast Asian expansion. Situated in Da Nang, a coastal city in central Vietnam, the two-story outlet boasts a spacious floor area of 128 square meters.
The new branch’s strategic location near My Khe Beach, renowned as one of the world’s most picturesque beaches, positions it to attract both local residents and international visitors, enhancing its appeal.
In addition to Genesis BBQ’s famed chicken dishes, such as the signature Golden Olive Chicken, the store offers a diverse array of Korean culinary delights, including kimchi fried rice and tteokbokki.
Remarkably, the store recorded sales of 4 million won (approximately $2,970) on its opening day, underlining its strong market presence.
An official from BBQ expressed the company’s future plans, saying, “We aim to open more stores in major tourist destinations worldwide to accelerate the globalization of K-chicken, with a target of reaching 50,000 stores globally.”
Genesis BBQ initially entered the Vietnamese market in 2007 and has consistently expanded its presence in the country. Last year, it opened two additional stores in Time City and Bac Ninh in Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital.
The franchise currently operates in eight countries across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and the Philippines.
