Heytea, the popular Chinese bubble tea chain, has officially set foot in Malaysia with the opening of its first store at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur. Occupying an 80sqm space on Level C of the newly-opened shopping destination, Heytea aims to establish a significant presence in the country as part of its expansion strategy.

This Malaysia debut is considered a pivotal move for Heytea in Southeast Asia, emphasizing the country’s importance as a key business destination. Following its successful entry into the UK earlier this year on Shaftesbury Avenue in London, Malaysia becomes Heytea’s second market in Southeast Asia, with Singapore being the first in 2018.

Heytea has set its sights on the United States as well, with plans to make its debut in Manhattan later this month. The brand is rapidly expanding its global footprint, showcasing its commitment to bringing its innovative tea offerings to diverse markets.

The Exchange TRX, the new shopping hub in Kuala Lumpur, is witnessing the entry of several prominent retailers, with Heytea joining the ranks alongside names like Japan’s Seibu department store, Gentle Monster, Shake Shack, and Drunk Elephant.

Established in 2012 and headquartered in Shenzhen, Heytea is celebrated for its modern interior design and the creation of “new-generation Chinese tea drinks.” As the brand continues to make waves internationally, its arrival in Malaysia adds a delightful new dimension to the country’s vibrant tea and beverage scene.
