Hong Kong’s Honbo Burger Chain Expands Globally with First Outlet in Singapore

Hong Kong’s beloved classic burger chain, Honbo, is set to make its debut in the international market with the launch of its first physical outlet in Singapore on July 28. The new store, located at Chijmes, will offer American-style burgers featuring handmade patties and potato milk buns, crafted through a special collaboration with renowned French baker Eric Kayser.

A distinguishing factor of Honbo is its commitment to using high-quality ingredients. They source USDA prime-grade beef from Holstein and Angus cattle, raised in Wisconsin, known for their excellent marbling, to create their delicious brisket-and-chuck burger patties. Instead of piling up extravagant toppings, Honbo focuses on perfecting the essence of the classic burger, embracing a no-frills approach that shines through every aspect of their brand identity, particularly in the simplicity of their menu.

Some of the signature dishes that have earned Honbo its reputation include the Honbo 1.5, Scallop burger, Cheeseburger, and Sweet Potato Fries. Founded in 2017 by former doctor Michael Chan, the chain currently operates six successful locations in Hong Kong. Now, it’s ready to bring its mouthwatering offerings to burger enthusiasts in Singapore and beyond.
