Jaggers, the fast-casual restaurant chain affiliated with Texas Roadhouse, is set to bring its unique flavors to Katy, Texas. The new 3,898-square-foot restaurant will feature a drive-thru and a 1.45-acre pad site at the Grand Parkway/TX 99 entrance to the thriving retail hub. The opening is planned for early summer 2025.
Jaggers was famously described by Texas Roadhouse founder Kent Taylor as “What if Chick-fil-A and Five Guys got married and had a kid.” The menu is designed to cater to both burger lovers and those seeking made-to-order chicken and signature sandwiches. Affordable pricing adds to its appeal, with a “Crazy Good Cheeseburger” priced around $7 and a Bacon Avocado Burger at just over $9.
Grand Morton Town Center, established in 2015, has grown into a 91-acre retail powerhouse. With nearly 508,000 residents living within seven miles and a population growth of 32% in just four years, the area is booming. NewQuest, the developer behind the project, has transformed the site into a nearly fully leased retail hub.
Josh Friedlander, NewQuest’s leasing director, highlights the center’s success: “It’s Katy. It’s synonymous with growth.” He credits the completion of the Grand Parkway a decade ago as a major catalyst for the area’s rapid development.
The addition of Jaggers raises questions about competition, as it joins two other burger establishments in the same center. However, Friedlander remains confident: “Jaggers will be a strong addition to Grand Morton’s dining options,” he says, emphasizing the diverse specialties each restaurant offers.
Jaggers, founded in 2014, currently operates 10 locations across Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, and Texas. The first Texas location opened in Longview, northeast of Dallas. With a proven track record and experienced franchise operators, the brand is poised to make a big splash in Katy’s dynamic market.
