Japanese coffee chain % Arabica has made a triumphant return to the Philippines, opening its first physical location in the country. After closing all of its operations last year, the brand is back on the scene, offering its renowned coffee experience to Filipino coffee enthusiasts.
% Arabica initially entered the Philippine market in 2018, but unfortunately, it had to close all three of its establishments in January of the following year due to the expiration of its deal with its local franchise partner.
The new store, situated in Manila Mitsukoshi BGC, boasts a sleek and contemporary design, predominantly adorned in white. Describing the concept on their Instagram account, % Arabica stated, “With a focus on the future of % Philippines, we designed a futuristic space resembling a spaceship.”
One of the store’s unique features is a dedicated roasting space right at the entrance, offering customers the opportunity to indulge in the brand’s signature custom roasting service. Additionally, they encourage customers to purchase their preferred coffee beans for home consumption, providing a delightful weekly treat.
Notably ambitious, % Arabica is on an exponential expansion trajectory, with aspirations to establish a global presence. Currently, the company is actively working on a strategic plan to venture into the European market, eyeing countries such as France, Germany, Portugal, and Greece. Furthermore, % Arabica is gearing up to make its debut in Nepal, marking its first foray into this emerging market.
With its renewed presence in the Philippines and its grand plans for international growth, % Arabica is set to further solidify its position as a leading player in the global coffee industry.
