Singapore-headquartered Jumbo Seafood will open its first restaurant in Seoul by the third quarter of this year.

Jumbo Seafood South Korea will be operated by a joint venture of Jumbo F&B Services and Didim Group subsidiary TCI. Didim operates more than 400 restaurants under 20 brands in a mix of company-owned and franchised business models globally.

“We are looking forward to expanding our footprint into the South Korean market with this joint venture with TCI,” said Ang Kiam Meng, Jumbo CEO and executive director.

“We have always been on the lookout for partners that have a strong track record in their local markets, and we are happy to have found Didim which is a well-established name in the South Korean F&B industry.”

Jumbo now has restaurants in Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an, Fuzhou, Taipei, Taichung, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Tokyo and Osaka.
