London-Based EL&N Coffee Chain Expands into Southeast Asia with Flagship Store in Malaysia

EL&N, a coffee chain based in London, has successfully extended its reach into Southeast Asia, marking its entry into the Malaysian market with the opening of its first store.

The new flagship store of EL&N is situated on Level 3 of the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping centre. Boasting an Instagrammable setting, the store features EL&N’s iconic pink theme, adorned with neon strip lighting and delightful floral decorations. On the menu, patrons can find an array of health-conscious options with unique localized twists.

Founded in London back in 2017 by Alexandra Miller, EL&N has rapidly expanded its presence, now operating 30 stores across 10 countries and regions, including the US, France, Italy, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Dubai. Additionally, the coffee chain was reportedly in discussions with retail conglomerate Reliance Brands in April, exploring possibilities to open stores in India.

According to GlobalData, the Malaysia foodservice profit sector generated a substantial revenue of MYR 80.9 billion ($18.4 billion) last year and is projected to maintain a steady Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of over 6 per cent during the period from 2022 to 2027.

Furthermore, earlier this month, Tanamera Coffee, a renowned Indonesian coffee brand, also ventured into the Malaysian market, setting up a physical outlet in Kuala Lumpur.
