US sports apparel brand Lululemon Athletica has opened its first full scale retail store in Singapore.
Another will follow in Hong Kong next year, augmenting its existing four showrooms, as the fashionable sportswear brand looks to Asia for ongoing growth.
The 3700sqm Singapore store opened in Ion Orchard yesterday (Sunday 14).
The company said it chose Singapore because Singaporeans were very responsive to events organised by the brand’s two existing showrooms in the country.
“Singaporeans have a growing passion for yoga, running, cycling and general health and fitness,” the statement said.
“In addition, Singapore is of key importance to Lululemon to serve as a springboard supporting Lululemon’s business expansion plans for the Asian market.”
