McDonald’s Vietnam to open in Hanoi

McDonald’s Vietnam is set to open its first store in Hanoi.

Good Day Company, the McDonald’s Vietnam licensee, has yet to set the opening date, but banners announcing its arrival have appeared on a building at No 2 Hang Bai Street, in the Hoan Kiem district.

The first McDonald’s Hanoi will have a floor space of 697sqm. It is close to the Hoan Kiem Lake.

The northern expansion has been in planning since early 2016. At a recent company conference, Good Day’s general director Nguyen Bao Hoang revealed the company was seeking staff to help it expand to the capital city and other northern markets in the future.

Launched in February 2014, McDonald’s Vietnam currently has 17 restaurants, all in Ho Chi Minh City.
