Middle Eastern fast casual chain Azkadenya to launch in Australia

Azkadenya, a chain of restaurants originating from the Middle East, is expanding into the Australian market by franchising.

The restaurant was founded by Omar Tabbaa and Zaid Abu-Soud, who are both passionate about showcasing Middle Eastern culture, hospitality and cuisine. Azkadenya is known for its lively atmosphere and serves a range of signature dishes in a retro-style setting that pays homage to 1950s advertising in the region.

Azkadenya is part of the Eat Restaurant Group, which is a member of the Endeavor investment network that provides support for entrepreneurs. The restaurant chain first opened its doors in Amman, Jordan in 2011 and has since expanded to operate 12 locations in various countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Palestine, Iraq, and Canada.

The entry into the Australian market comes after the founders and their franchise partner conducted extensive research in the market.
