Winmark Corporation, North America’s largest franchisor of sustainable resale brands, has announced the launch of its 500th Plato’s Closet shop, the industry leader in adolescent and young adult resale.

Winmark – the Resale Company celebrated this momentous accomplishment with franchisees Scott and Lisa Doerr, who own several units. Since 1999, when Scott’s parents founded the first Once Upon A Child in London, Ontario, the Doerr family has been connected with Winmark brands.

Scott and Lisa are excited to establish their first Plato’s Closet in Windsor, ON, since their family has been franchise owners with Winmark for several generations. Terry Doerr, the son of Scott and Lisa, and their longtime manager Tara Organ will launch their first Plato’s Closet location in London, Ontario, in 2023.
