South Korea’s leading chicken franchise debuts North America

South Korea’s leading chicken franchise by sales, Bhc Group, has expanded overseas with the opening of its first restaurant in North America. The restaurant, located on Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, will be directly managed by the company and used to test new menu items for US consumers.

The company plans to become a global restaurant company that promotes K-food, and decided to enter the US market as its first overseas region for entry this year.

Bhc Group also plans to introduce its other brands to the US market, including Changgo43 and Outback Steakhouse. Additionally, the company is the South Korean operator of San Francisco-based Super Duper Burgers, which will open its first store in Seoul in October. Bhc Group already has three overseas restaurants in Malaysia and Hong Kong. Last year, the company became South Korea’s top chicken franchise, recording 507.5 billion won in sales.

Additionally, BHC will enter the Southeast Asian market, beginning with Singapore in June.
