Starbucks expands Laos network with second Vientiane store

Starbucks has opened its second store in Vientiane’s View Mall, as it expands its presence in Laos.

The new location, which follows the coffee chain’s first outlet at Parkson Laos, was designed to provide a visually stunning coffee experience for customers and partners.

The store’s design is inspired by the undersea world and features accent colors of light blue and orange, which contrast with black textured paint. According to Starbucks, the design creates a joyful and magical oasis-like atmosphere, inviting customers and partners to interact over coffee.

The store’s focal point is the bar, which is highlighted by a tube ceiling feature that extends from the entry throughout the store.

Starbucks stores in Laos is operated by its franchisee partner Coffee Concepts Limited, a subsidiary of Maxim’s Caterers Limited. This marks Starbucks’ entry into its 15th market in the Asia Pacific region and 84th market globally, as part of its ongoing expansion in Southeast Asia. It underscores Starbucks’ commitment to long-term growth in Asia. The company now has more than 12,000 stores in the region.

Additionally, Starbucks recently launched a pick-up service in China called Starbucks Curbside, which allows customers to order coffee while driving and collect it from the curb.
