Hawaii burger business expanding to Philippines

teddys-burgerHawaii-based Teddy’s Bigger Burgers has announced its expansion to the Philippines with nine stores set for opening in the next three years.

The first store will open July 18 at Greenbelt 3 in Makati City.

Teddy’s officials identified its Philippines partner as the High Jap Group, of which executive Ricky Laudico said another potential location for its Teddy’s Bigger Burgers business will be in Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila.

“Opening in the Philippines is beyond anything we could have imagined when we started our first little burger joint,’ said Teddy’s co-founder Rich Stula, in a statement.

Co-founder Ted Tsakiris also expressed excitement about launching “Team Philippines.”
