PT Sari Gemilang Makmur has won the franchise rights to Jamba Juice Indonesia.
The US smoothie chain Jamba Juice has embarked on an aggressive international expansion strategy with some 600 new cafes now in the development pipeline in South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Mexico, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Canada.
Sari Gemilang Makmur is a subsidiary of PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk, which operates more than 1800 retail stores under a range of its own and franchised brands in 65 Indonesian cities.
Jamba Indonesia plans to open 70 Jamba Juice cafes in Indonesia within 10 years, starting in Jakarta in mid 2016.
Tom Madsen, senior VP & GM, global growth, with Jamba Juice in the US, said the company chose PT Sari as its partner because it is a leading operator of lifestyle brands in Indonesia, an anchor tenant in major malls, and has a proven track record of successfully building its own and franchised brands.
“In PT Sari, we have found a terrific partner for Indonesia, with a strong passion for Jamba Juice and a mission to bring health, happiness and fulfilling lifestyles to Indonesian consumers.”
