Thai skincare retailer Beauty Community has signed a local partner to enter Indonesia.

Beauty Community already operates 296 stores in its home market, under three brands: Beauty Buffet, Beauty Market and Beauty Cottage.

It has already expanded into Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos where it has 29 stores and plans 12 more before the end of this year.

Now, with an unnamed local partner on board, it will enter ASEAN’s most populous market, Indonesia. The company will also sell products online through beautyplazaonline.com.

CEO Suwin Kraibhubes says with a population of 240 million, Indonesia represents strong potential for the successful Thai business.

Beauty Community expects sales to rise by at least 20 per cent this year from last year’s figure of THB 1.39 billion (US$38.4 million).
