MIPIM Asia to focus on 2025 vision

MIPIM-Asia

MIPIM Asia, the annual property leaders’ summit in Asia Pacific, will focus on the trends for the coming decade under the theme Vision 2025.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, MIPIM Asia 2015 will be held in Hong Kong on December 1-2 and will once again bring together leading industry professionals operating in the Asia Pacific region for a two-day conference to discuss the upcoming trends in the property and retail real estate sector in what is seen to be the “disruption decade”.

MIPIM Asia hosts over 900 international experts, senior business leaders, government representatives and academics from over 30 countries.

Prominent keynote speakers will share their insights on what lies ahead throughout the event and its program is dedicated to property investments and retail real estate.

One of the key topics this year is the mainland logistics and warehouse market which has seen significant capital attraction from foreign investors recently, and the event’s conference program will address this trend and assess whether it is the new golden asset in the sector, as the investment flows in major international markets are struggling to find decent returns across asset classes.

The prestigious MIPIM Asia Awards and the gala dinner on December 1 will honour the most outstanding and innovative regional projects across 12 categories, where the newly-created Best Refurbished Building is showing the increasing trend of development work related to given buildings a second life.

The Best Innovative Green Building award will capture the global focus on resource efficiency and highlight the importance of sustainability, a topic believed to be a major driver going forward for new property developments in APAC.

In an era where everyone is connected, having a digital roadmap has become increasingly important for the property industry, as new innovations driven by tech entrepreneurs are about to permanently change the investment and construction landscape – from crowd-funding to 3D visualisation models. MIPIM Asia 2015 will be one step of the first-ever world competition showcasing the digital revolution, where five startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas in front of a professional jury.

With 2015 signalling the rise of the ASEAN region with the formation of the long-awaited ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), MIPIM Asia will host a discussion session around where the most attractive investment opportunities in the ASEAN property market lie and what the challenges are for international investors. With a programme characterised by high-profile speakers, MIPIM Asia 2015 will offer its participants in-depth industry insights and knowledge from across the Asian region and beyond.
