The Shopping Capital of Asia?

Bangkok City Life

The results are in.

Inside Retail Asia readers have chosen their choice of the Shopping Capital of Asia.

In a poll on our homepage – which we concede is voluntary and by no means intended to be scientific – just like any other online poll – we offered readers a choice of four cities: Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Bangkok.

And the winner was…

Hong Kong – by a massive margin.

Forty-four per cent of the hundreds of you who cast a vote chose Hong Kong – a 24 point margin ahead of Bangkok on 20 per cent and Singapore a statistically irrelevant one per cent further back on 19 per cent.

Shanghai finished a lowly fourth, favoured by just nine per cent.

Seven per cent of you couldn’t decide.

Our next survey will be up and running on our home page shortly.
